Thoughts for the Week:

“The only man who never makes mistakes is the man who never does anything.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Head’slines

Well, we are really approaching the final hurdle, far too fast for my liking, and we have so much to pack into the next few weeks. Speaking of packing….. seventeen very excited children (and their mums) are currently busy packing suitcases in preparation for our five day visit to Spain on Monday. They will be accompanied by myself, Mr. Lengden and Mr. Woodward. The visit to Spain is the best residential visit I have ever been on and is made up of a wonderful mix of historical, cultural and geographical experiences for the children. Throw in the experience of being away from home and of living together in a small community and one has the makings of a perfect “trip”. We shall be staying in Santander and shall visit the Gugenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Carbarceno Wildlife Park, the Altamira Caves and Gaudi’s Caprichio in Comillas. We shall even have time to go to the beach and the swimming pool and enjoy some games of rounders and cricket! We’ll send you a postcard.

Please note that there will be no newsletter next week.

Firwood’s Got Talent

We shall be holding our very own talent show on Monday, 23rd June. All children who wish to show off any talents at all may strut their stuff. Sorry parents, this is just for the children.

The Leavers’ Ball for the Class of 2008

Our annual Leavers’ Ball has become the event of the year and this year promises to be just as exciting, and yes, Andy’s back!
